Goals/Mission Statement
To help America keep pace with drastic changes in the global technology economy, AVETEC is working to build a world-class computer modeling and simulation capability and initiating educational partnerships to prepare a skilled future workforce. Educational advances must keep pace with science, engineering and computing to have highly-skilled professionals ready and able to do this work.

Materials Available for Teachers/Students
ACES – AVETEC’S CAREER EXPLORATION IN SCIENCE summer program. Middle school students gain an appreciation of various career choices in a hands-on workshop.
Faculty Resources – Hands-on or online opportunities and tools for teachers. (CEUs available)
GEARUP – Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs – helps to equip students in grades 5 – 12 with tools necessary to success in post-secondary education.
LaunchQuest – Provides an opportunity to design a real scientific investigation and learn about rockets, engineering and science.
Project Lead-the-Way - Introduces high school students to the scope, rigor and discipline of engineering.
Wright Scholars - Offers a hands-on Research Assistant program at the air force Research laboratory to high school juniors and seniors in Clark County.
Tec Talks – Helps students of all ages gain an understanding of the academic preparation needed to enter careers in science, engineering and technology with presentations by AVETEC staff, partners and researchers.
STARBASE – A program at Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 5th grade students that provides hands-on science, mathematics and technology in a high-tech environment.
