Goals/Mission Statement
The Mission of the Clark County Combined Health District is to protect and improve the health of the community through promotion of wellness and prevention of injury and disease.
Instructional Objectives
- To help students understand what they can do to promote a healthy life style.
- To help students know what they can do to prevent the spread of disease.
OHIO Standards-Benchmarks
We will customize our program to Ohio’s K-12 Science Standards including:
- Earth and Space
- Life
- Physical
- Scientific Inquiry
- Scientific Ways of Knowing
Health education standards are based on the
National Education Standards.
Materials Available for Teachers/Students
Pre and post program materials will be designed to support teacher program requests including:
- Brochures
- Power Point
- Pre and Post Tests
- Demonstrations
- Field Trips
- Fact Sheets and Handouts
Standardized Programs in place:
- Get Real About Tobacco
- Every 15 Minutes/Drunk Driving
- HIV/AIDS Education
- Teens and Sexual Behaviors/STC Education
Additional Information/Comments
- Advanced scheduling, two to four weeks requested.
- Can do individual, small groups, and whole classroom programs.
- Programs can be designed for teacher professional development, PTA, and any parent groups.
