Clark State Community College Performing Arts Center is committed to providing our community's students with opportunities to experience the arts.

Instructional Objectives

Extension to classroom learning through curriculum-based live theatre.

  • Provide resource tools: study guides and workshops.

2007-2008 Arts Alive Programs
The Arts Alive Partnership consisting of the Clark StateCommunity College Performing Arts Center, the Clark County
Educational Service Center, the Springfield City Schools and Wittenberg University are members of the Partners in Education
program of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The Arts Alive Partnership exists to promote and enrich student learning in and through the arts by providing professional development. The following programs are offered:

  • Four Arts Alive Professional Development Workshops for teachers. Designed to provide "hands-on" arts education experiences for teachers.
  • Two one-week Arts Alive Classroom Residencies. Intended to encourage and support teachers to implement into their classroom the arts integrated information and techniques they learned in the Arts Alive workshops. Kennedy Center artists will demonstrate techniques with K-12 students in the classroom of select teachers who attended the Professional Development workshops.
