Goals/Mission Statement
To carry out the Catholic Healthcare Partners mission within our community by providing safe, effective, patient/resident centered, timely and cost efficient care and education to meet the health needs of all people, especially the poor and underserved. Our commitment to this healing ministry will be evidenced by exceptional care, compassion and respect for the diverse religious beliefs and faith traditions of those we serve.
Community Mercy REACH, the chemical dependency program of Community Mercy Health Partners, provides several programs to help youth and adults combat the number 1 preventable health risk in Clark and Champaign counties…smoking and tobacco use.
Instructional Objectives
- Prevent youth initiation of tobacco use
- Decrease youth tobacco use
- Reduce exposure to secondhand smoke
OHIO Standards-Benchmarks
- Healthy People 2010 Program (Nationally recommended program to achieve above objectives)

Additional Information/Comments
- Stand Advisor provides community programs for youth (Stand is a program aimed at youth activism against tobacco)
- Alternative to Suspension (ATS)-tobacco education for those youth who violate tobacco policies. --as funding permits
- There is no fee for services provided
