Goals/Mission Statement
The Hertzler House Advisory Committee is dedicated to the preservation and protection of the Daniel Hertzler House and to the education and understanding of local history for the Clark County community.
Instructional Objectives
Students will have an understanding of life in the latter half of the 19th century in Springfield and Clark County and how it relates to the development of American History.
OHIO Standards-Benchmarks
We will customize your tour to Ohio's K-12 Academic Content Standards, including:
- Social Studies
- Language Arts
- Science
- Fine Arts

Information is available to teachers that highlight the Ohio Academic Content Standards that can be covered during tours.
Additional Information/Comments
- The Hertzler House will come to your school and present a power point program about history of the Hertzler family and the house. The speaker will come in costume and bring several antiques for the class to handle. The cost is $30 per class. To schedule call 822-6000.
- Advanced scheduling for tours is required
- Can do small groups, whole and multiple classroom programs.
- Fee $1.00 per student (1 chaperone per 10 students admitted fee).
