Goals/Mission Statement
The mission of Pilot International is to improve the quality of life in communities throughout the world.
Instructional Objectives
To help students understand the importance of the brain to all aspects of human life. Our program, entitled "BrainMinder" engages students in activities designed to teach them about brain functions and keeping the brain safe. We also sponsor a poster contest to reinforce these concepts.
OHIO Standards-Benchmarks
The "BrainMinder" program emphasizes health and safety issues for students. The program encompasses aspects of the Ohio
Academic Content Standards for:
- Science
- Language Arts
- Fine Arts
Materials Available for Teachers/Students
- vStudent receive coloring books that focus on brain safety.
- All students receive a "BrainMinder" certificate.
- Poster paper is provided to students participating in the "BrainMinder" poster contest.
- Poster Contest winners receive a t-shirt.
Additional Information/Comments
- Program is designed to reinforce safety for students. Well-suited for end-of-year activities as students head into the summer months.
